Weaver Summertime picnics call for something special and whether it's an early breakfast break-fast or an evening meal (maybe even lunch) these yummy muffins are bound to add the perfect touch. Thanks Marlene Riddle! MUFFINS Batter Vi cups flour Vi cup sugar 2 tsps. Baking Powder y2 tsp. salt i cup shortening 1 beaten egg Vt cup milk Sift dry ingredients; cut in shortening. Blend egg and milk and add to dry ingredients. Stir until moistened. Nut Mix V4 cup brown sugar 'A cup chopped walnuts 2 TB. flour 2 tsp. cinnamon 2 TB. melted butter Mix above ingredients well and then alternate a layer of batter with a layer of Nut Mix in muffin tins until they are two thirds full. Bake 20 minutes at 350 deg. Let cool before removing from muffin tins. Makes 12. These muffins are really good cold and ideal to take to the mountains moun-tains for a special breakfast treat.
