Show Tracy Kirkham places Third in National Meet ft h 1 -'i TltACY KIRKHAM Tracy Kirkham, son of Mrs. Jean Kirkham, and the late C. A. Kirkham, Cedar City, won third place in heavy duty mechanics at the 13th National Conference and Skill Olympics of the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America in Cincinnati, Ohio, June 21-24. Kirkham, a heavy duty mechanics student at Utah Technical College at Salt Lake, was among more than 2,000 competitors at the national conference from throughout the U.S. Competitions Com-petitions were held in 36 different vocational and skilled trade categories He earned the trip to the national conference of V1CA by winning the state competitions. com-petitions. Kirkham's brother, Todd Kirkham, also competed at the National Skill Olympics in graphics, but he didn't place among the top three. Utah's entrants captured 13 medals, including five first place awards. The Utah team earned fourth place among all the states in number of medals earned. |
