Show Men's Golf Tourney in "Home Stretch" George the Music Man has taken over the lead in Division II of the Cedar City Men's Golfing Association League from John's Kitchen Korner. In Division I Forest Service is holding onto the league lead in the second half of play. League action is held each Thursday evening at the Cedar City Painted Hills Golf Course course according ac-cording to Wes Higbee Association president. Western Wear 53 Brazier's Masonry 53 Wood's Store for Men . . .50 Utah Internaitonal 51 ABC Auto Parts 35 Kim Thompson of Cedar City scored a hole in one at the Painted Hills Golf Course Monday, July 25. Thompson scored the hole in one on the Par 3, 197 yard No. 7 hole on the course with a six iron. The hole in one was witnessed by Lennie Olafson, Kevin Averett and Fred Wright, Jr. It is Thompson's second hole in one on the Painted Hills Course this season. Thompson, one of the outstanding golfers of Cedar City recently captured his second successive Southern Utah Amateur Championship Cham-pionship held on the Beaver Canyon Breeze Golf Course. Thompson holds several amateur titles throughout the state. |
