Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Robb and family of Orem came to town on Sunday to visit overnight and spend the holiday with the LeGrande Robb family. They came to get son Jeffrey who has been visiting here for ten days. An unusually large crowd attended the Pioneer Day Celebration in Paragonah which was complete with many small pioneers and Indians, etc. Mrs. Idella Robinson was honored as the Queen For The Day and she delivered a most appropriate tribute to the State of Utah. The Primary children danced, told pioneer stories and sang songs as well as . marching in a miniature parade. Sports and lunch followed. visitors of late. The weekend of the 17th Kristene's father, Mr. Kenneth McDuffy of Page Ariz, was here. On Tuesday a sister, Mrs. Kathy Hinkle, two children and a friend came from Caliente to spend the day. The past weekend another sister and her family, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Bradshaw and two children came from Las Vegas. Mrs. Bertha Topham arrived home on Sunday after a trip to Calif, to visit her son Dr. LaNell Topham and his family. The trip there was made on July 16th with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Berrie, Sheral, Randy and Michael of Kearns. Mrs. Topham reports a fine time as she enjoyed seeing the little new granddaughter grand-daughter for the first time. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thornton left town on Thursday to go to Ogden to visit with their son Gerry and his family for most of a week. Mr. and Mrs. Garth Robinson and their four daughters and Mrs. Mabel Hill of Salt Lake City arrived here Friday night to vacation for a few days with the Antone Robinson family. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Montague and children of Vernal visited here on Saturday with the Boyd Robinson's. The Aaronic Priesthood Young Men and The Young Ladies of the Ward all went to Manti on Wednesday to see the Pageant on the Temple Grounds. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Keiffer of Bountiful are here vacationing with Mrs. Gwen i Jones. They have been . to Panguitch and have spent Mr. and Mrs. LeeRoy Orton and their three children of Downey Calif, arrived here Friday for a weeks visit with the Wells Orton family and their mother, Mrs. Lois Orton, and with the Albert Orton's of Parowan. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Topham and Jennifer of Price arrived Saturday to spend the holiday with Mr. and Mrs. Alma Topham and with Colleen's people, the Alan Heaps' in Parowan. Kerry Judd of Page, Ariz, has been here for a week vacationing with his people the Albin Judd family. Monday afternoon the Judd family left for Salt Lake City to visit with the Lee Abbott's and to attend Albin's College Reunion at Lagoon. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Michaeli have enjoyed a visit from their daughter Nancy, and her husband William Numan and their three daughters, Kelly and Casey. The Numan's arrived here on July 8th from their home in El Toro, Calif, to spend Nancy's birthday and see something of the area. They enjoyed picnics at Williamson's Ranch and Red Cliffs and visited Brian Head and Cedar Breaks. They left for home Friday. Mrs. Rowena Stones arrived home on Thursday after almost three weeks in Green River, Wyo., where she visited with her daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Neagley and members of her family including all of the married ones and the two grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Barton and baby daughter from Salt Lake City were here recently to spend the weekend with Doug's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Barton. Mrs. Alice Jones, mother, Mrs. Carmen Topham and Miss Janet Jones, traveled to Salt lake City on Wednesday Wed-nesday to see Mrs. Marie Jones, of Fredonia, who was in the LDS Hospital. Marie had back surgery there recently and is now convalescing con-valescing at the J. B. Jones home, Mrs. Jones and Mrs.; Topham returned home on Thursday, bringing young Jeffrey Jones to spend a few weeks here. Mrs. Ruth Boardman was in Calif, from July 15th to the 19th for various family functions. On the 17th she attended the Golden Wedding Wed-ding celebration in Riverside River-side for her brother and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Robin Cox. On the 16th she was to Big Bear for the wedding reception for her neice Diane Sanchez and her husband Michael Vance who were recently married in Hawaii. Other features of the trip were visits with a brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Basil Rose of Hemet. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Thornton have had several |
