Show Area students place in rodeo events ( competition and took a third in the goat tieing event. Ironically both Miller and Bunding, the team tieing champions of the state, are presidents of their respective high school's Rodeo Clubs. In picking up the title the pair scored times of 18 seconds sec-onds on both go rounds and wrapped up the title with an 11.4 second timing in the finals. fin-als. '- Six participants from the southern Utah area won the right to advance to the National Na-tional High School Rodeo finals fin-als to be held at Henderson, Colo, in July, in competition at the Utah State High School Rodeo at Lagoon this past week. Lamont Miller of Cedar City and Herb Bunding of St. George combined to win first place in the state team tieing event and each was presented with a saddle for their efforts. In addition Miller placed fourth in the calf roping and fijiicViftjj hrii In the all- around competition. Others who qualified for( participation in the national rodeo by placing third or better bet-ter in the state were Doyle Atkin of Dixie who placed second sec-ond in the calf roping and third in bulldogging.
