Show LETTERS TO THE EDITOR Dear Editor: On June 14, 1972, after being be-ing 24 hours overdue in Kolob Canyon, our niking party of five spotted an aircraft sent to look for us. My wife had reported re-ported us overdue and missing to Sheriff Ira Schoppmann and he had organized the search party. Although we were safe, but out of food and tired, we were happy for help. We wish to express our thanks to those who were concerned con-cerned for our well being. To Mr. Bob Bradshaw who piloted pilot-ed the plane, the sheriff's department de-partment and the Iron County jeep patrol who searched for us and picked us up, we express ex-press our appreciation and gratitude. We tenderfoots from back East will go home with a great respect for the people of the Western Mountain, especially es-pecially Iron County. Charles H. Harper, Keston, Virginia |
