A quick tour of potential poten-tial sites for the location of a National Rifle Association range was made this past week by Association president, right and Maxwell Rk:h, formerly of Utah and now executive secretary of of the national organization. They dis-' cuss plans here with Chamber of Commerce Com-merce officers, Darryl Schramm left, and Edwin C. Cox, second from right, The officials are touring several western west-ern and southern states seeking A site for the location of a multi-million dollar dol-lar complex for the association which could eventually house a portion of the national staff. Several sites were viewed in and around Cedar City as well as other partions of Utah. Sites were also studied in New Mexico, Colorado Col-orado and Wyoming prior to coming to Utah. The officials indicate that a decision on the site wll be made probably prob-ably by fall The complex is expected to be a showplace for the Nationel Rifle Ri-fle association for their annual snoots and other activities that "puts us right in the middle of the ' environmental program," Rich commented. |
