Show Colonel Pendleton is graduate of Army Staff College Ft. Leavenworth, Kan. (AH-TNC) (AH-TNC) Lieutenant Colonel Freeman L. Pendleton, son of John H. Pendleton, of Parowan, Paro-wan, was graduated May 23, from the U. S. ArmyCommand and General Staff College at Ft. Iycavenworth. Col. Pendleton was one of 170 officers attending the 1968-69 regular course at the college, who have already or will graduate early in order to meet reporting dates on their next assignments. With regular graduation scheduled for June 6, early graduations began April 16 and continued through June 3. - The ten-month course prepares pre-pares the students for duty as commanders and as principal princi-pal general staff officers with the Army in the 'field from division through Army group, and at field support and theater thea-ter army support commands. Col. Pendleton, who holds I the U. S. Army Commendation Commenda-tion Medal, was last assigned , to the U. S. Army Special Security Se-curity Group in Germany. His next assignment will be as commander, Phu Lam Facility Facili-ty Battalion in Vietnam. Col. Pendleton, and his wife and children Michelle and Stewart were visitors in Parowan Paro-wan with his father and other members of the family for several sev-eral days last week.leaving on Saturday for the Pacific Coast for embarkation to his n.nv assignment, his wife and children will go as far as the Hawaiian Islands where they will stay while Freeman is in Vietname.
