Show NEWCASTLE By Norma Christensen The annual talent show was held Thursday night at the Es-calante Es-calante Valley School. A lot of fine talent was presented, and homemade candy was sold. A large crowd was in attendance and everyone enjoyed the program. pro-gram. The Cedar City Junior High School presented their annual Gym Jamboree Thursday and Friday nights in the school gym. Those participating from Newcastle New-castle were Rita Hulet, Joan Tullis, Becky Christensen, Helen Forsyth and Janeen Hulet. Mr. and Mrs. Trusten Hart ! and family visited in Hurricane last week at the home of Clara's folks, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Strat-ton. Mrs. Harriet Jones visited a few days in Kanab with her mother, mo-ther, Mrs. Israel Chamberlain. Mrs. Shirley Hart rode out with Harriet and visited in Orderville with her mother, Mrs. Amy Crofts. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Christensen Christen-sen and Mrs. Cassie Christensen journeyed to Orem Saturday to attend the funeral services for Alma J. Christensen, an uncle to Boyd and a brother-in-law tc Cassie. They also visited briefly in Provo with Mr. and Mrs. Bert Asay. They also stopped at the Eldred Hospieal in Provo and visited with Robert Piatt. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Hulet and family visited over the week end in Mosquito, Nev., with Nita Rae's folks, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Leon-ard Reber, and in St. George with Norman's folks, Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Hulet. Mrs. Katherine Christensen and daughters Linda and Janice visited Sunday in Cedar City with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Evans. Gary and Beverly had their new baby blessed Sunday and named her Deborah. |
