Show CEDAR CITY SOCIAL ACTIVITIES A trip long planned came ni-to ni-to reality for Mr. and Mrs. Walter Walt-er Lunt of Ceuar, who returned home March 31 after a two weeks' vacation in the llawiian lslanus. The couple flew from San Francisco Fran-cisco to Honolulu. There they they were greeted by Mrs. Luni s niece, Connie Orme, who is originally orig-inally from Brigham City. For the Lunts, te most impressive part of their tour of the Islands was visiting vis-iting the LDS Temple in Laic and attending a performance at the Polynesian Cultural Center where the Polynesian dancers portrayed portray-ed ancient traditions of arts and crafts. Six different groups, representing repre-senting Hawaii, Tonga, Samoa, Figi, Maori and Tahiti, performed such dances as the hula and fire dance. Mr. and Mrs. Lunt traveled travel-ed throughout the five main islands is-lands of Hawaii and before returning re-turning here they visited with the frt,mni- A fh.rn Trn flnrt tier hlls. rose and Mr. and Mrs. Mel Adam traveled to northern Utah where they were in attendance at tin Men's State Bowling Tournament. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Nelson Sunday were friends from I Fillmore, Mrs. Roger Clark am Mrs. Neldon Brunson. They visit- jed here before Mrs. Clark, uu j former Frankie Brunson, joinet. I her husband in Seattle, Washington. Washing-ton. A late March vacation highlighted high-lighted spring activities for Mr. and Mrs. Haldow Christensen and their son Gaylen, who spent four days in Westminister, California, with Mr. and Mrs. Henry C. Murphy. Mur-phy. This week, the Christensens have guests, Mrs. Agnes Reed of Long Beach, California. Mrs. Reed, a sister of Mrs. Christensen, will be here for a week. I band, George Poulson, who is president of the LDS Hawaiian mission. Mrs. Poulson is a daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Ashton Jones, former Cedar City residents. Mr. and Mrs. Garth Fisher and their three children of Sacramento, Sacra-mento, California, are visiting in Cedar City this week with Mrs. Fisher's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Uollo, and with her sister sis-ter and brothers and families. They visited earlier in the week with Mr. Fisher's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Byron Fisher, in Orderville. Miss Charl Christiansen of Las Vegas, was visiting here Saturday and Sunday with her mother, Mrs. Delia Christiansen. Mrs. Walter Bell and children, Debbie and Robert, are here from Barstow, California, spending a Mr. and Mrs. Richard Winter- |
