These students were among the winners at the Foreign Language Lang-uage Festival staged at College of South ern Utah last week. Event drew high school students from throughout the area. Southern Utah Students Attend Language Fair were also rated 011 general excellence. excel-lence. National skits, songs and dances were presented by participating partici-pating students and members of the CSU language staff. Chairman of the event was professor pro-fessor Lynn Broadbent, assistant professor of languages at CSU. Some 300 students from eight, southern Utah secondary schools participated in activities at the College of Southern Utah Language Lan-guage Festival Saturday. 1 Schools represented in the activity ac-tivity were Woodward Junior High School and Dixie High School, both St. George; Cedar City Ci-ty Junior High School, Cedar City High School Richfield, Beaver, Greenriver and Emery High Schools. Students competed in conversation, conversa-tion, poetry and oratory in German, Ger-man, Spanish and French. They |
