ATKIN Dale Lynn Atkiri, son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Atkin of Cedar City lias received a call from the Church of Jesus Christ ol Latter-day Latter-day Saints to serve a two and one-half year mission. Allan will serve in the Samoan Mission field. A farewell testimonial in honor hon-or of tne misionary will be held Sunday, April 10, at 6 p. m. in the Cedar Third Ward Chapel. Friends and relatives are invited to attend. Speakers at the testimonial will include Jack Alatheson and Karl Lyman with remarks from Bishop Ran Crawford, from the missionaries mission-aries father and a response from Eider Atkin. Special musical numbers will include a double trio singing "The Morning Breaks," composed of Kaina Bisnop, Aurelia Bauer, Bobette Vorkink, Marilyn Hip-well, Hip-well, Karlene Bauer, and Marilyn Craig with Mrs. Gertrude Lund as accompanist; and a vocal trio singing "Whispering Hope." Members of the trio are Rosemary Sanderson, Mary Jo Finlinson, and Annette Rawlinson, with Gaylene Miller as accompanist. Scott Atkin, a brother will offer of-fer the invocation and the benediction bene-diction will be given by Billy Waters. Atkin attended Cedar City schools and graduated from Bountiful High School. For the past two quarters he has attended attend-ed College of Southern Utah where he has been active in the LDS Institute program. With his parents, who served a construction mission, he spent 11 months in Samoa where hei performed as an organist fori Priesthood, Sunday School and! MIA activities. The family alsoi spent time in New Zealand on tiieir mission call.
