Show Funeral Services For Austin Barton Held Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed in the Paragonah Ward Chapel Cha-pel Tuesday alternoon for WU-lipm WU-lipm Austin Barton. 70, who died at his home Friday, March 31. The services were conducted by Bishop Boyd Robinson, and speakers were Howard Joseph and Wallace Fortheringhom. A his- j tory of the deceased was given by Mrs. Alta Dalton. Invocation was by K. Doyle Robinson; Ro-binson; benediction by Clark Lamoreaux, the dedicatory prayer pray-er by James C. Burt, and prayer, at the home by Roy Orton. The musical program included an opening song "Sometime We'll Understand", by the choir, under the direction of D. A. Stones; a vocal solo, "In The Garden" by Howard Knight, a vocal solo, "That Silver Haired Daddy of Mine", by Robert Wilcok, and Mrs. Hazel Jean Robinson, Mrs. Wilma Lamoreaux and LaRae Lamoreaux sang "Beyond The Sunset" with Mr. Norma Topham doing the recitative part. Mrs. Melva Barton accompanied the choir, all of the musictal numbers num-bers 'and played the prelude and postlude music. Mr. Barton was born in Tara-gonah Tara-gonah on Aug. 6, 1835 a son of William H. and Sarah Ann Hanks Barton. On Sept. 15, 1924 he married mar-ried Rosella Dorrity in Beaver. He was engaged in farming and livestock raiser, and also worked as a miner and railroad employee. He was active in LDS church affairs and was in the Ward Sundav School Superin- tendency at the time of his death. Survivors include his widow, three sons and five daughters, Mrs. William (Dorothy) Diel, Tooele; Hanks Austin, serving with the Armed Forces in Germany; Ger-many; William II., Parowan; J. Lynn, Moab; Mrs. LeRoy (Kali-leen) (Kali-leen) Orton, Granger; Mrs. Kenneth Ken-neth (LaRue) Mitchell and Mrs. Douglas (Rose Ann) Mickelson, Weed Heights, Nev., and Mrs. James C. tVesta Rae) Burt, Salt Lake City; 24 grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Alva Sheridan, San Francisco, Calif. |
