Two children from S Mrs. Zona Topham's first grade, Nancy Adams and David Burton, completed their stamp books and now may exchange them for sav- j ings bonds. ; The thrift and patriotism of, Nancy and David was recognized , in the weekly flag ceremony at, the school. Nancy and David were ! each presented with a certificate honoring them as Space Minute Men. As owners of U. S. Savings Bonds they are investing in the future of our country. The Savings Stamp project at Parowan Elementary School, sponsored by Mrs. Roma Jensen's fifth-sixth grade students has been well supported by the other oth-er students at school, she reports. re-ports. In the past ten weeks the class has sold $285 worth of U. S. Savings Stamps. The students have a chart in their room which shows how many stamps are sold each week and from this they figure the total sales. Also as part of their arithmetic the students found the average weekly week-ly sales to be $28.50. Last Thursday was an import- |
