Show Funeral Rites Honor S Memory cl Bessie Ualtsiman Funeral services on Thursday, March 31, held in the First-Second Ward chapel here, paid final tribute to Bessie llalterman, lifelong resident of Parowan, who died on Sunday morning of that week in the hospital at Pan-guitch. Pan-guitch. The services were conducted by Bishop Bruce Matheson of the First ward and Mrs. June Decker was at the organ for prelude and postlude music. Speakers were Mrs. Barbara M. Adams and V. Clair Rowley, with remarks by Bishop Matheson. Mathe-son. The invocation was offered hv Lyle llalterman, the benediction benedic-tion was by Glen llalterman, and the grave in the Parowan City cemetery was dedicated by Clifton Clif-ton Halterman. The family pray-was pray-was offered by C. B. Crane, a brother-in-law of the deceased. Musical numbers included two songs by a double mixed quartet, quar-tet, "That Beautiful Land", and Lead Me Gently Home , and a violin solo "Calvary", Mrs. Elna Stubbs. Members of the mixed quartet were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Mitchell, Mr. and Mrs. Rulan Dalton, Ola Robinson, Shirley Mercer, Robert O. Wilcock and Kent Marsden, with Itha Morten-sen Morten-sen as accompanist. Mrs. Stubbs was accompanied by her daughter daugh-ter Miss Cheryl Lynn Stubbs. Pallbearers were Roger Esplin, Merrell Halterman, Scott Holy-"ak, Holy-"ak, LaMar Sullivan, Glade Holyoak, Richard Crane, Roger Halterman and Douglas Roger-son. Roger-son. Flowers were carried by nieces of the deceased under the directron of Mrs. Aleen Orton. |
