STANLEY MAST BOWEN Glennis McKayle Smith, Stanley M. Bowen Exchange Vows in Chapel Wedding Saturday Nuptial rites performed by Bishop Bis-hop Max Willis in the Cedar City Fifth Ward Chapel united Miss Glennis McKayle Smith and Stanley Stan-ley Mast Bowen in marriage, April 2. The double ring ceremony was followed by a reception at the ward cultural hall. Giving the bride away in marriage mar-riage was her uncle, Mr. Pratt Smith, Boulder City, Nevada. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Merl Smith, parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Eugene L. Bowen, Bow-en, formerly of Illinois, now of Las Vegas, Navada. For her nuptials, the bride was gowned in a long, white brocaded brocad-ed satin dress with a fitted bodice and tight skirt highlighted by a detachable train which featured a large bow in front and smaller matching bow at the waist in the back. The gown had lily-point sleeves and scalloped neckline. Accessories completing the ensemble en-semble were the shoulder-length net veil attached to a tiara of seed pearls and a bridal bouquet designed de-signed with a white orchid corsage cor-sage center with amazon lilies and satin coils with rhinestone centers. Bridal attendants wore street-length street-length dresses in styles which matchedd the bridal gown. The three bridesmaids, Mrs. Richard Swope, Mrs. Burrus Reber and Miss Joan Cahoon wore taffeta dresses with white pill-box hats and matching gloves. Matron of honor, a sister of the bride, Mrs. David Matheson, wore a brocade dress with white accessories. Miss Kelly Dee Matheson, who served as flower girl, was also dressed in a brocade outfit. Shrimp and white colors were carried out in their costumes and the carnation I and rosebud nosegays which they held. Best man was Stanley Lind-j Lind-j strom ot Long Beach, California, I wane t"e budegroom's brother, Larry Bowen served as an usher. Ouests attending the nup-I nup-I tial affair were entertained by Linda Auams, beveny Matter, Va-'laine Va-'laine BiaUen, Karen r'reiweu aud j Laurel Matheson. Wedding march 'music was furnished by Beverly blazer. The newlyweds honeymooned in ruim springs, Cainornia. Tne bride is a graduate of Cedar Ce-dar City High Scaool and Com-tometer Com-tometer School. She is employed witn tne First National Bank in Las Vegas. Mr. Bowen is a student at Nevada Ne-vada Southern where ne is majoring ma-joring in business administration. Beiore her marriage, the bride was honored at two showers, a personal and kitchen shower. The lirst was given by Alice Holyoak land Rowene Asndown in Cedar City and the other was hosted by friends in Las Vegas. |
