Show Sen. Bennett Seeks Legislation To Permit School Prayers Washington - Sen. Wallace F. Bennett, K-Utah, recently Joined in introducing a resolution proposing pro-posing a Constitutional Amendment Amend-ment to permit voluntary participation partici-pation in prayer in the public schools. "This amendment is simple, voluntary and permissive," Sen. Bennett said. "It places the responsibility re-sponsibility upon local school authorities and gives no legal authority to an official body to dictate the form or content of a prayer."
