Show College Student Council Accepted by NS A Officers of the United States National Student Association has Informed the student council at College of Southern Utah of acceptance of membership in affiliating af-filiating with the NSA. Daniel Idzik, executive vice president, said, "Affiliation Is only on-ly the first step in the creative relationship which exists between be-tween a student government and the association. I am sure that C S U will find that its member-ship member-ship In the association will provide pro-vide the student government with many new opportunities for developing its programs and that you (the student council) will also contribute to the fulfillment of the goals of the association." A coordinator from the college will be responsible for maintaining maintain-ing liaison with the national and regional offices and keeping the student government fully informed inform-ed of the activities and programs pro-grams of the NSA, according to Richard Gillies, student activities activi-ties coordinator. At a district meeting for NSA members recently held at the University of Utah, Dallas Isom and Carol Hood, CSU students, met with the group for the first time. There are about 330 colleges throughout the country working to develop more effective student government on a local, region-al region-al and national level, according i to Mr. Idzik. |
