Show Snow Courses Show Heartening Water Content Gain While the water situation in the Bowery and Yankee Meadow areas of Parowan's watershed are not quite up to the normal for a long time period, still they have improved with each of the measurements taken this spring by the Soil Conservation Service, whose report for the last reading should be very heartening hearten-ing to local water users. The last measurements taken by that service were last Monday and they showed a slight improvement im-provement in snow and moisture conditions at the Yankee Meadow Mea-dow snow course, but a slight drop at the Ed Ward Flat course. Monday's measurements at the Yankee showed snow depth to be 29.1 Inches with water content of 10.6 Inches. Just a month ago the measurements showed 27.5 Inches of snow containing 8.6 Inches In-ches of water. The 12-year average aver-age prior to 1955 was 13.2 Inches of water at that place on April 1. Monday's measurements at Ed Ward Flat were 7.3 Inches of snow with 2.4 Inches of water. |
