Show District Women's Clubs Attend Federation The Parowan Literary Club was host to annual convention of the southern District of Utah Federated Women's Club last Saturday. Other Clubs in the dis-trict dis-trict represented at the affair were the Panguitch Questers Club, Panguitch Literary Club and Kanab Literary Club, which are the only women's clubs who are federated with the state group from this district. State officers present at the convention were Mrs. Walter C. Kwing, state president; Mrs. Earl Condie, state treasurer, and Mrs. Clair Hulet. Parowan third vice president. Mrs. Kenneth Lynn, Panguitch. distrlst president, presi-dent, presided at the meetings. After the convention was opened open-ed with an address by Mayor W. Scott Mitchell a panel discussion on "why federate" featured the session. This discussion was led by Mrs. Arch Benson, state adult education chairman. She pointed out that federation does not represent rep-resent a specialized group but is a cross section of all profession-lal profession-lal and regilious groups with its j alms, individual and community service. |
