Show Local Forester Wins Transfer, Promotion I Bruce K. Gardner, clerk of the Dixie National Forest, Cedar City, has been promoted to the first clerk position on the Humboldt Hum-boldt National Forest with headquarters head-quarters at Elko. Nev., according accord-ing to Albert Albertson, forest supervisor of the Dixie National Forest. Mr. Gardner was born in Cedar City, and has been a resident of this community all his life. Upon graduation from the College Col-lege of Southern Utah he attended at-tended the Utah State Unlversl-ty Unlversl-ty at Logan and graduated in the spring of 1953 with a bachelor bache-lor of science degree. He served In the United .States Air Force for two years, beginning in the f.Vl of 1953. One year rf this ser-vice ser-vice was spent in Koiea. At the time of his release from the service ser-vice he was rated as a first lieutenant lieu-tenant assigned to the supply section. The promotion Is to be effective effect-ive May 5. |
