Show ROTC Students Face Examining Board For CSU Cadet Award I Six candidates eligible for the outstanding cadet award given to the College of Southern Utah AF ROTC dotachment were selected, se-lected, and met Wednesday with members of an examining bonrJ during which Air Force and Army Ar-my officers questioned them to determine a final selection. Following are the cadet officers offi-cers qualifying for the board i-amlnations: i-amlnations: Lt. Col. Gene Secrist, Se-crist, group inspector; MaJ. Steve Carpenter, squadron commander; command-er; Lt. Col. Lorin Brown, group commander; MaJ. Kent Averett. squadron commander; Maj. Jim Miller, group adjutant, and Ma. Arnold Mellor, assistant group inspector. From these cadets a choice will be mad?. Board members were Air Force Capt. A. L. Sullivan and Capt. Ralph Holmer of the CSU detachment, de-tachment, WO N. W. Coombs, secretary of the Dugway Branch of the Reserve Officer Association, Associa-tion, and Army Lt. Col. Chester W. Meyers, who presided on the board. Selection will be announced during federal inspection and pass-in review exercises next Monday and Tuesday, May 6 and 7. The outstanding cadet will receive the Reserve Officer Association As-sociation award. Twelve other honor citations will be given during the ceremonies. |
