Show Five County Group To Consider Dam Power Allocation The Five County Organization, representing the counties of Beaver, Bea-ver, Iron, Washington, Kane and Garfield will hold an Important meeting in St. George Friday evening. The principal matter of business busi-ness to be considered at the St. George gathering will be that of making application for power allocation al-location from the Glen Canyon Dam project Some concern has been evidenced as to whether or not this section will receive a fair allocation of power from the project. However, committees and individuals have been studying stu-dying the matter and will be prepared to lead In the discussions discus-sions and provide explanations of the problem. Leaders of the Five County Organization Or-ganization feel that if ample power at reasonable rates could be made available it would do much to assure Industrial development, devel-opment, and that it Is Important Import-ant that the area's Interest in power allocations be protected In addition further discussion on a proposed scenic travelogue for advertising purposes will take place and it is hoped that definite action can be taken at the meeting In St. George. Committee meetings will be held at 6 p. m. In the Washing-ton Washing-ton County courthouse. The gen-eral gen-eral meeting will follow at 7. It will be a luncheon meeting at i one of the cafes. |
