Show LIVING IN THE ESCALANTE VALLEY The Esealante Valley Coordinating- Council meeting was held on "Thursday night, April 25. At this meeting it was reported that th county recreation committee By Mrs. Jack Movie Coordinating Council and Reports had appropriated $4700 more to the Esealante Valley for the completion of the recreation building here. A letter was read by Bruno Bias! directing the use of these funds. 1 Gordon Moyle, president of the R E A, reported that Mrs. Roca Romera would start work at the R E A on May 1. Mrs. Romera will take the office work formerly form-erly filled by George Clove, who has accepted a position at Hurricane. Hurri-cane. Otto Fife will handle the prod-duce prod-duce previously handled by Mr. Clove for the growers association. associa-tion. Mrs. Mabel Nlelsln reports that the polio immunization will be postponed for some time as the polio vaccine is not now available. avail-able. At this meeting It was reported re-ported by Russel Christensen that Scott Tullis was succeeding very well with his dog trained to lead the blind. Scott had made a trip to San Francisco with the dog. He is to make other dog. guided trips and then scheduled sched-uled to return home Sunday. May 5. All members of the Lions .Club who can will try to meet Scott at the Cedar Airport on that date. George Beacham of Newcastle was a guest speaker at the Lions meeting. George is home on furlough fur-lough after spending the past 14 months with the Operation Deep Freeze at the South Pole. He told of most Interesting experiences, showed the type of clothing worn and photographs of different operations there. Supper for the Lions was pre. pared and served by Mrs. Wll. ford Fife, Mrs. Robert Hyde and Mrs. Alfred Force. Scouting The Cub Scout den meeting for Dens No. 1 and No. 2 was held!
