Show , NEVS FROM PARAGONAH Mrs. Hilma Lamoreaux Approximately 200 members of the John Rowlandson Robinson family organization gathered in Paragonah for their annual reunion re-union on Saturday. Members of the Alice Robinson Topham branch of the family arranged and served dinner and the Hy-rum Hy-rum Robinson family group presented pre-sented a program in the alter-I alter-I noon. Relatives from near and far 1 were here for the occasion, some staying for the entire week end. j People came from the Ogden and! Salt Lake City areas, Irom St. I George, Beaver, Circleville, Pan-'guitch Pan-'guitch and from the Iron County Communities. I I Joseph Robinson and daughter,' 1 Mrs. Beatrice Shideler, came from Silt, Colo., for the reunion and , will visit here for a time with Joe's sisters, Mrs. Lula Bastian nd Mrs. Sarah Stones and their brother Ellis and his wife. They brought with them Barry Shideler j and Larry Robinson who are attending at-tending school at BYU. Mr. and Mrs. H. Revere Robin-1 son returned home Sunday night after a week in Taft, Calif., with their son Dean and his family. Their granddaughter, Nancy Robinson, Ro-binson, and Bob Miller of Parowan Paro-wan accompanied them on the trip. j Mr. and Mrs. K. Doyle Robinson Robin-son traveled to Cedar City Sunday Sun-day to visit with members of their family. Mr. and Mrs. Elwin Talbot and family of Salt Lake City arrived here Friday evening to spend the week end with their relatives, the Renford Talbots and the T. A. Robinsons. Jerry Talbot was here Saturday to visit with his parents the Renford Talbots. Mrs. Clara Robb has news of the arrival of a new great-grandchild, her sixth. A boy was born March 1st to Harold Larry and : Rorothy Robb of Las Vegas. The grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Har-1 old Robb of Cedar City, visited here Sunday with Harold's mother, moth-er, j Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Lund and : daughters Gayle and Clara Mae traveled to Cedar City Friday! evening to attend a meeting and program for Indian students and their foster families. They were, very impressed with Apostle' Spencer W. Kimball who spoke at the meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Lund tra-1 veled to Glendale Wednesday of last week to attend a missionary I farewell testimonial for Roene's I nephew, Ken Maxwell. They ' were accompanied by Mrs. Vera I Gibson, Mrs. Olive Maxwell and daughter Patsy of Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Murl Gibson and daughter Kathy of Cedar City I wore Sunday visitors at the Wilson Wil-son Lund home. j Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Robinson ! hosted members of their family at dinner Sunday in celebration of Mr. Robinson's birthday which came on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Robinson and sons Mitchell and Randy were here from Cedar City and Mr. and Mrs. Errol Lamoreaux La-moreaux joined the group, Mrs. Ruby Bauer and small daughter of Cedar City spent Saturday with the Calvin Robinsons. Eugene Boardman was here from Provo to spend the week end with his people the Bill Boardmans and Miss Maureen Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Lamoreaux, Lamor-eaux, son Larry and daughter Mona Lou of Provo, were week end visitors here and in Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Butterfield and their six children of Ogden arrived here Friday night to spend the week end with Carol's mother, Mrs. Myrtle Abbott and other family members. The church building missionaries mission-aries have completed their stay here and ere leaving the community. com-munity. Frank Hoyt has finished his mission and has departed for his home in Vermont. Neil O'Brien O'-Brien left Monday for Cedar City and Mr. and Mrs. Waterman were going to Salt Lake City Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Robinson had their out-of-town family members with them for the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Conder and family and Mr. and Mrs. Verdell Robinson and children were all here from Magna. Mrs. Etta McBride Is in the Valley View Medical Center in Cedar City for treatment for blood clots. Mrs. Irene Robinson arrived home Saturday after being hospitalized hos-pitalized in Cedar City and Salt Lake City for more than two weeks. Her family, the Ronald Robinsons of Parowan and the Ralph Edwards of Cedar City, visited with her Sunday and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arch Lamoreaux, La-moreaux, arrived here from St. George Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Dalton traveled to Salt Lake City Friday to spend the week end with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Inglesby and their two little boys. They returned home Sunday bringing their daughter, Mrs. Helen Jean Stubbs and her two little girls with them. Mrs. Lula Bastian was in Parowan Paro-wan Sunday visiting with Ralph and Ruth Mortensen. Mr. and Mrs. Carlyle Mitchell and daughters, Carla Jo and Mrs. Lynda Green and the latter's two little boys spent Saturday inj Paragonah with Mr. and Mrs. D. ' Amasa Stones. I D.U.P. meeting for March will be held Thursday, March 18 at the home of Mrs. Bertha S. Top-1 ham. Meeting will commence at I 2:00 o'clock and following the! regular lesson material an auc-! tion sale will be held. All ladies of the community are invited. |
