Show HAPPENINGS IN THE ESCJtLANTE VALLEY j Georgia Moyle ; VALLEY UONS A group of Escalante Valley Lions traveled to Hurricane Wednesday, Wed-nesday, March 3, to meet with the Hurricane Lions Club as a visitation. They are as follows: President John McGary, Bryner Wood, Neilse Neilsen and Gene Butler. COUNCIL The Coordinating Council met at the Community Bldg. Wednesday, Wednes-day, March 3. Meeting wa; con ducted by President Jack M ylo. There were 10 people present and committee reporting was as follows: fol-lows: Miriam Mi-Gary reported on the Ladies' Chorus. Community Communi-ty Calander and building. Gordon Gor-don Moyle repor'ed on tne ilv-trie ilv-trie association, airport and water wa-ter users program. Publicity, Georgia Moyle. Cub Scouting and Law Enforcement by Helen Holt, Y-Z Trail by Alene Smith. Women's Wo-men's Club, Phyllis Wood, Industrial In-dustrial Development, Jack Moyle and PTA, Janice Woods. Others in on discussions were vice president presi-dent Calvin Metier and Lister Woods. HERE AND THERE Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Metier have returned to the valley for the summer from Sha'ter, Calif., where they have been since Thanksgiving. Mr. and Mrs. John Smith are home after spending Christmas and a couple of months with their daughter, Ruth Moore and family of Long Beach. They visited vi-sited with other relatives also. The Smiths visited with a brother bro-ther and sister in-law of Mrs Smith's at Las Vegas enroute home. I Mrs. Phyllis Wood and small 1 daughter traveled to Salt Lake last Friday taking with them Mrs. Wood's mother, Mrs. Mavel DelVecchio of that city. Mrs. Del- ; Vcechio has been visiting with the Woods family for about three weeks. She also visited with her son Jim and family at Bull Head (ty Arizona, for a month while nvo ering from an operation. Phyllis and Wendy returned on Sunday. |
