Show Cedar City Federal Land Bank Assn. Officer Attends Meet Linda u Foremaster, president of the Federal Land Bank Association Asso-ciation of Cedar City, and other membe-s of the association Board of Directors have just returned from Salt Lake City, where they attended a regional meeting of stockholders of the Federal Land Bank of Berkeley. The economic aspects of changes chan-ges in agriculture and methods for further improving the credit services of the bank and associations associa-tions were the principal subjects sub-jects discussed at the meeting. I this was one of four regional ' meetings being held by the Land Bank lor its stockholders, the 44 . land bank associations that serve i California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah ' and Hawaii. i Wallace E. York, president of me Berkeley land bank, in re- I porting on lending activities, stated sta-ted that the $84 million loaned in 1964 was the largest volume in any one year in the bank's 48-year 48-year history. He added that the outstanding loan balance reached reach-ed an all time high of $289 mil- I lion at the end of the year. j York predicted a substantial I increase in the demand for long- j term farm credit again this year. He said that while demands for credit continue to grow, farmers land ranchers are meeting their I obligations promptly. |
