Show Final Preparations For Annual Southern Utah Ski Races, March 13th, Now Complete Final details have been com- pleted for the Annual Southern Utah Ski Races which will be staged Saturday, March 13 at the Cedar Canyon Ski area and the Brian Head Ski Resort. Byron Hazeltine will serve as general chairman for the event which is being cosponsored by the Rainbow Canyon Ski Club, CSU Ski Club and the Cedar City and Parowan Chamber of Commerces. Com-merces. The event is exacted to draw a large entry list this year and the general public is invited toi watch the activities throughout the day. Seven events In four classes are planned for the day of racing. Events will get underway at 10 a. m. at the ski area in Cedar Canyon and will move at noon to the Brian Head Ski Resort Re-sort where the events will be concluded. The sevent categories of competition com-petition were listed as follows: 1. Up to and including 9 years of age. 2. Girls 10 to 13 years. 3. Boys 10 to 13 years. 4. Girls 14 to 17. 5. Boys 14 to 17. 6. Women, 18 and over. 7. Men, 18 and over. Event number and 1 and trials for events 2 and 3, will be held at the Cedar Canyon Ski area beginning be-ginning at 10 a. m. At noon, competition will begin with finals in events 2 through 7. Assisting Hazeltine with details de-tails of the annual races are the following: Promotion, Milt Jolley and Adrian Bunting; Tro phies, Doug Lunt and Wes Mul-lett; Mul-lett; Cedar Canyon Course, Adrian Adri-an Bunting and Doug Lunt Brian Bri-an Head Course, Georg Haiti-maier. I Timing will be under the direc tion of Byron Hazeltine and Carl Croft; MC will be Jay Monson and Steve Collins; Music, Tim Cashin; Display Board, Mr. Hazeltine; Ha-zeltine; Flags, Mr. Bunting; Poles, Mr. Hartlmaier; Racing Bibs, Carl Croft; registration will be handled hand-led by Vie Jolley and Garfae Middleton and presentation of trophies will be by Iron County Commision chairman Keith Smith. |
