Rampton, to fill a full term as la member of the board of Trustees Trust-ees of the Utah Stale L'nivetsity at Logan. The appointment ws:: approved Monday by the Stat-I Stat-I Legislature alonv with other I members of the board named by the governor, and members of the University of Utah and Weber We-ber State College boards. I Dr. Prestwich has had lon experience ex-perience as a school administrator, administra-tor, having served as a member of the Utah State University board of trustees for a number of years, and also having served las a member of the board of ed- ucation of the Iron County School District for more than 20 years. He served for some time as president pres-ident of the Iron County board. Until legislation was approved approv-ed this week creating an independent inde-pendent board of trustees for the College of Southern Utah, the USU board acted also as trustees of th lornl institution and the local member has been considered consider-ed as the CSU member of the board. T.'iis, of course, will not now be the case, since the status sta-tus of College of Southern Utah is changed. All appointsments to the three boards are for four year terms, beginning July 1, 1965. |
