Show Funeral Services Held Monday Afternoon For John Lowder, Jr. Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed Monday afternoon In the Ce-da. Ce-da. Second Ward Chapel for John Lowder, Jr., SO, vho died Friday, March 5, of causes incident to age. Burial was in the Parowan City Cemetery. Mr. Lowder was born Jan. 30, 1885, in St. Johns, Ariz., a son of John Logan and Saddie Hyatt Lowder. He married Luella Gurr In Parowan on March 10, 1910. Survivors include his widow, Cedar City; a daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Nina) Nostala, Santa-quin, Santa-quin, Utah; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, four sisters, Mrs. Lunita Biglcr, Mrs. Leone Burton, Los Angeles, and Mrs. Camilla Garrett, Phoenix. Ariz., and a brother, Clair Lowder, Low-der, Parowan. Speakers at the services were I Adam Seegmiller and Jess Guy-mon, Guy-mon, with a tribute given by Ha G. Corry. The services were conducted con-ducted by Bishop Gaylord Whitney. Whit-ney. Invocation was by Eldro V. Rigby, benediction by Leland Gentry, and dedication of the grave by Heber Gurr. Prayer at the mortuary was by Arnold Gurr. The musical program included a vocal solo, "In the Garden" by Herschel Neeley, and a vocal duet by Mamie Eck and Lois Mc-Connell, Mc-Connell, with prelude and post-lude post-lude music by Janet Knell. |
