Ele-venth. Miss Pickett and BevcK Caldwell Cald-well have secured the following Ward Chairmen for Parowan: Mrs. Bernaar Stubbs, first ward; Mrs. Wanda Benson, Second and Mrs. Kay Chamberlain, Third. These Ward chairmen will be contacting workers in their wards to serve as Block Captains. The Block Captains will do the door to door calling. I Kiwanian Jerry McClintoc dis-' tributed calling lists for the downtown business district to Ki-wanis Ki-wanis Club members last Monday Mon-day and business solicitations began be-gan on that day. In past years the Cedar business district has always responded most generously generous-ly and contributed at least a third of all funds received in the drive. A third of this year's $3,500 goal comes to $1,116, a sizeable goal for any group. However, it Is hoped that Cedar City merchants mer-chants and professional people will respond with their usual generousity and meet or even surpass it. Rev. Gowen and Chapter President Presi-dent Earl Hanson have sent out letters to cover a dozen firms be-solicited be-solicited under a new "Special Gifts" category. Individuals and firms contributing $50 or more in previous years have been placed In this category. Mrs. Jess Picket in Parowan and Loran Hirschi, who has all the other outlying towns in the county, both report good progress in drive arrangements for their respective areas. Special thanks is due the Cedar High School , Key Club which has distributed Red Cross posters throughout the city. Have you seen Harvey yet?
