Show I ENOCH-MIDVALLEY NEWS NOTES Mrs. Cora Murl The Relief Society birthday party and supper held Saturday evening was a big; success. Most of the married couples of the ward attended. Stake President Violet Hulet was In attendance. There will be a farewell party In the recreation hall on Friday evening for Elder Darrel Krueger, who has been called to serve on an LDS mission to the South German mission. He Is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Krueger. Darrel 1 has spent the last few years living here with his grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. Emma Nelson, and has been a member of the Enoch Ward. There will be a testimonial testimon-ial for Elder Krueger Sunday at 2:30 p. m. in the Ward Chapel. His friends and relatives arc invited in-vited to attend either or both functions. William Grimshaw has gone to St. George to stay for a wihle to work In the temple. There was a large crowd in attendance at the testimonial Sunday for Elder Steven Grimshaw. Grim-shaw. Elder Grimshaw is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George D. Grim- thaw and Is called to the North British Mission. His two sisters and their families attended. They are Mr. and Mrs. Aleene Hatch from Fillmore and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Stubbs of Parowan. Mrs. Lorn a Loose visited over the week end with her brother and family, the Roland Andersons. Ander-sons. Her home is in Alaska. Several local people attended funeral services in Summit for Mrs. Elda Fife. v Visiting at the J. Stanford Jones home Saturday evening was Mrs. Woodland of Arimo, Idaho. Mrs. Wodland is the grandmother of Elder Steven Lowry, Missionary companion of Elder Garth Jones, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jones. Elder Lowry and Elder Jones are at present laboring labor-ing In Asahigowa, Hokkaido, Japan. Saturday evening, March 24. the Enoch Ward M. 1. A. are sponsoring the special dance, "Fantasy Lands." There will be decorations, program and refreshments. re-freshments. Come and have a good time with your friends no charge. |
