Show Louis Armstrong Concert to Highlight CSU Building Dedication Three full days of activity have been outlined at College of Southern Utah for the dedication dedica-tion of the new Student Center and Manzanita Courts, women's dormitory facilities. To really make things hop the college will feature a concert by Louis "Satchmo" Aimstrong and his six all-stars Thursday evening eve-ning at 8 p. m. at the CSU auditorium. aud-itorium. Satchmo and his all-stars will present a two hour Jazz concert. Rated as the tops in jazz Armstrong Arm-strong has gained recognition throughout the world and has often been referred to as "America's "Amer-ica's traveling ambassador of good will." Tickets for the concert will be available at the door. Friday evening, again at the CSU auditorium, official dedication dedica-tion ceremonies will be held with Wesley P. Lloyd, dean of the graduate school at Brigham Young University, to appear as guest speaker. The dedication rites will get underway at 8 p. m. Dean Lloyd is an International authority in the field of education and guidance guid-ance and has received invitations invitat-ions from countries in Europe, Asia, and Africa to direct work In these fields. Presiding over the dedication will be Dr. Daryl Chase, president presi-dent of Utah State University, An open house will also be held Friday at the Student Center Cen-ter and at Manzinita Courts. On Saturday a workshop will be conducted at the Student Center as the concluding event of the dedication services. Conducting the workshop will be Evan Stevenson, manager of the Utah State University Union and coordinator of Student activities. ac-tivities. The workshop will begin at 9 a. m. |
