Show Scout Honor Court Slated for Sunday I The March Couit of Honor for I Boy Scouts of the Brian Head District of the Utah Parks Coun-I Coun-I oil, BSA, will be held on Sun-day, Sun-day, March 25, it is announced I by W. Clair Rowley, advancement advance-ment chairman of the district j The court of honor will be held at 8 p. m. in the Parowan. First-Second First-Second Ward chapel and a special spe-cial invitation is extended to the parents of the Boy Scoots participating parti-cipating and the public generally to aitend. In addition to the usual number num-ber of advancements and the awarding of merit badges to Boy Scouts of the district, an award ceremony will be held at which time an award of a trophy will be made to the Parowan Third Ward, Troop No. 343 will be made, according to Mr. Rowley. The award was won by Troop 343 for troop member activity and participation, for attendance of scouts and scouters and parents at regular honor courts and other oth-er participation for the past three months. - - Mr. Rowley announces that a new contest will get under way with the Sunday night Court of Honor t The special speaker - at toe Sunday night meetmjf will be W. R. (Dolghi Grimshaw, who will discuss the procedure for earn-l ing merit badges, the part the troop scoutmaster plays In the procedure as well as the merit badge counselor. Mr. Grimshaw, ing program, will explain many problems to officials who are new in the scouting program. It is also expected that a report will be heard on the recent scout camporee taken to the Moapa Valley Warm Springs at Overton, Nevada, with a large number of scouts and scouters of the district dis-trict participating. |
