Show P.H.S. Junior Class Set Date, Begin Preparations for Prom With the date for the annual Junior Prom at the Parowan High School put forward one week from the date originally announced, an-nounced, the junior class at the school is now hard at work on preparations for the big social event of the school year, at least for its members. The theme for this year's Prom, as announced last week end by Kent Dalton and Sandra Decker, co-chairmen, will be "La Mer" (The Sea) and the event will be held Friday, March 30, beginning at 9 p. m. In the I Parowan high gymnasium with the public invited to attend. Class members have been en-'gaged en-'gaged in- work meetings pre-1 paring decorations for the past several weeks and will move into in-to the gym this week to place! them and make other prepara- tions. The members of the class also started preparations for this ycarto promenade on Monday of this week, the co-chairmen announced. an-nounced. Music for dancing will be furnished fur-nished by ti.e San Mitchell orchestra or-chestra from Cedar City. Assisting Mr. Dalton and Miss Decker as members of the committee com-mittee in charge, are Wayland 'Adams, Annette Jakeman, and Betty Jo Bess, with each assigned assign-ed to head a group of workers Ipreparaing a certain part of the decorations. Officers of this year's junior class are Douglas Murie, president;- Penny Robb, vice president, presi-dent, and Mary Kay Evans, secretary. sec-retary. Faculty advisors to the class are John Wood and Mrs. Lorna Rue Pymm. Those in charge also announce that a post prom will be held on Saturday night fr the younger students of the school. |
