Show Fairs and Show Managers SsheduleMeet The annual state meeting of the "Utah Association of Fairs and Shows," will be held In Cedar Ce-dar City, Saturday, Mar. s 24, it was announced by D. Amasa Sicilies, Taragunah, president Ot the organization. All sessions of the one-day convention will be staged on the campus of the College of Southern Utah with registration to begin at 9:30 a.m., Mr Stones indicated. The opening session will begin be-gin at 10 a. m. at which time group meetings will be held for men and women In attendance. Expected to be in attendance at the convention are represon-atlves represon-atlves of county commissions, fair managers and fair board members, county agricultural agents, home demonstration a-gents, a-gents, and others interested in fairs and shows from throughout the state. Entertainers and concession operators op-erators will also be in attendance attend-ance Mr. Stones Indicated. At 11 a. m. a general meeting will be held at which time-an offical welcome will be extended - to the delegates from Mayor Kumen S. Gardner of Cedar City. Guest speaker at the session will be Dr. Royden Braithwaite, CSU director. Other speakers at the session will include Mrs. Rocne Wood, extension worker of Salt Lake City and Woolas A. Macey, secretary, manager of the Utah State Fair. Business sessions wll be conducted con-ducted during the afternoon following fol-lowing a lucheon at the CSU student stu-dent center. New directors of the Utah Association As-sociation will be named and the presentation of a proposed revis-ion revis-ion of bylaws will be presented for consideration, Mr. Stones said. In addition a schedule of county fairs throughout the state to avlod serious conflicts, will be outlined and get. Speakers at the afternoon sev slon will be Raymond Jackson, president of County Offlcals As-sociatlon, As-sociatlon, and observations ovef the past years will be reported by Dr. Carl Frishkecht extentlon director, Utah State Unlveraity. Reports of directors of the association as-sociation will be made, Stones said. |
