Show LeRoy Orton Selected To Lead High School LeRoy Orton, highly active junior student at the Parowan; High School this year, was elected elect-ed to serve as student body presi-1 dent of that institution for the 1956-57 school year, at the an- nual election held last Friday. Hej will succeed Connell Mitchell,! who has been president of thej student body during the current school year. Roy, a son of Oscar T. Orton, has been president ofj the F F A organization at thei also Seminary president school and president of the LDSj Seminary during the year now ending. Duane Lamoreaux, sophomore student from Paragonah, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Lamoreaux, was named vice president of the student body, and Pat Urie, also a sophomore was named secretary secre-tary for the coming year. She is the daughter of Mrs. Ray Lyman. They succeed Rose Ann Barton and Delores Mortensen as vice president and secretary respectively. respec-tively. Results of the election for cheer leaders for next year, which was also held Friday gave the positions posi-tions to Gary Rollins, Maxlne Joseph, Norma Lee Mercer and KatWeen Barton for the senior high, anw Omah Lee Smith and Bonnie Batt for the Junior high school. |
