Show dedr Pharmacist Elected Uteh Jizredaticn Leader M. A. COWLET Melvln A. Cowley, owner of Cowley Drug Store and prominent promin-ent Cedar City businessman, was elected president of the Utah Pharmaceutical Association at the annual convention held in Ogden early this week. The election elec-tion was held Monday and the new officers were honored at the annual banquet Tuesday evening, eve-ning, closing event of the con ventlon. Mr. Cowley has been prominently promin-ently associated with the state group for a number of years and has served In a number of official offi-cial capacities and on important import-ant committees of the state or ganlzatlon. He will succeed C E. Athss of Salt Lake City City as presi-dsM presi-dsM of the association. The convention was highlight, ed by a number of addresses by nationally prominent leaders In the field on such topics as "Radioactive "Ra-dioactive Pharmaceuticals," and "The Pharmacist's Role In Civil Defense."
