Show CSU Faculty Women Present 1961 Spring Luncheon. Another successful year of activities ac-tivities was climaxed by the CSU Facdlty Women's Club as they sponsored the annual Spring Luncheon. Members and their guests were greeted Saturday afternoon af-ternoon at the Stake House by Luncheon chairman Ruth Challis and committee members, Lou Joan McAllister, Margaret Sjo-blom, Sjo-blom, Ruth Weaver, Ruth Hunter, Hun-ter, Jeanne Moss, Virginia Ogden, Gwyn Clark, Afton Larson, Lar-son, Jeniel Stratton and La Preal Smith. Catered by Mrs. Theron Ash-croft Ash-croft the delicious luncheon was-served was-served at individual tables adorned by crystal brandy snifters snif-ters arranged with beautiful roses. Each lady was presented a rose from the centerpiece as. her luncheon favor. Program guest for the occasion occa-sion was Professor Fred Adams wTio gave a most enjoyable play reading of "Camelot" and a synopsis of "The Miracle Worker." Work-er." Accompanying Professor Adams as he sang the musical selections In "Camelot" was Miss. Kathy Jones. Honored guests at the luncheon lunch-eon were the wives of Senator-Charles Senator-Charles R. Hunter and Representative Repre-sentative Kumen S. Gardner and the wives of former Trustees: J. S. Prestwich, Jim Urie, Walter Granger, Charles R. Hunter, Nelson Nel-son Marsden, and present Trustee, Trus-tee, Reed W. Farnsworth. Officers for the school year 1961-62 as announced will be Mrs. Richarj Rowley, Mrs. Mel-vin Mel-vin Roper and Mrs. Harry Plum-mer. Plum-mer. Mrs. Hazen Colley will serve a second year as historian. Trying their skill at roller skating were members of the Cazania Club and their hus- , bands. The evening was spent at the CSU rink on Wednesday with Mrs. Willard Thompson serving as party chairman. Following Fol-lowing the evening's activities the group enjoyed a tasty dessert. |
