Show Bonanza Airlines Presents Case for Service The Civil Aeronautics Board recently re-cently was assured by Bonanza Air Lines that the carrier's subsidy sub-sidy needs would be substantially substantial-ly reduced if it is awarded the new routes it is seeking to the Southern Rocky Mountain Area Local Service Case. The case, which is now before the board, Involves new or improved im-proved Bonanza jetprop service from Cedar City to Las Vegas, Tucson, El Paso and Los Angeles. An official pointed out that these services have not previously been available to citizens in the Cedar Ce-dar City area. Officials of Bonanza, in week-long week-long testimony before the CAB in Washington, projected a subsidy reduction and proposed special excursion fares for new routes and operating authority being sought between the following cities: i Albuquerque and Las Vegas via Grand Canyon, Phoenix and El Paso, El Paso and Tucson, Tucson and San Diego, Tucson and Los Angeles, Los Angeles and Phoenix via El Centra and via Santa Ana, Tucson and Yu ma, Palm Springs and Los Angeles, An-geles, Palm Springs and Tucson, Las Vegas and Salt Lake City, Denver and Las Vegas via Grand Junction and via Page (Glen Canyon Dam). Bonanza is the only local service ser-vice carrier who has projected a subsidy reduction. The other local airlines have not Indicated whether they would be willing to accept routes under a reduction reduc-tion in subsidy. |
