Show NEWS FROM KANARRAVILLE By Hannah Davis Many parents and friends attended at-tended the Seminary and Junior High School graduation exercises at Cedar City last week. Several of our young people were among the graduates. Our Relief Society officers, Nedra Ence, LaRee Pollock, Borta, Lillian and Lena Williams, attended at-tended a Relief Society convention conven-tion at Enterprise last week. Barbara Williams and children motored to Las Vegas over the week end. Several of our MIA officers and teachers attended leadership meeting In Cedar City last week. David Davies, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Davies, attended the Class B State track and field meet at Salt Lake City. We are pleased to report that David got first place in the Javelin. Visiting over the week end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Piatt, were Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Atwood of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Dell Judd and family of Cedar City. Royden C. Bralthwaite of the Stake High Council attended all church meftings here Sunday. He was guest speaker at Sacrament Sacra-ment meeting, the program for which was given by the Aaronic Priesthood. Several of our young people gave talks, and musical numbers by a group of our young boys directed by Hazel Davies , with Lucille Gubler at the piano. Several of our stake Sunday School officers were present and showed a film on "Reverence." It was greatly enjoyed by both the Junior and Senior Sunday School groups. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Reeves and grandson. Randy Docksteadcr, motored to Salt Lake City to meet their son Boyd, who has returned return-ed home from a mission for the LDS Church. Visiting here from Las Vegas with relatives were Mr. and Mrs. Clair Woodbury and son Kimball, Kim-ball, and Mr. and Mrs. Sammy Park Davis. Mrs. Lucille-Gubler and Bessie Davies gave a report in Relief Society on Civil Defense and first aid they receive while at Camp Williams School recently. Mrs. Velma Peterson returned to her home in Boulder City, Nevada Ne-vada on Sunday after spending two weeks here with her mother. Francis Williams, and other relatives. rel-atives. Several of our townspeople attended at-tended the Helldorado at Las Ve- gas. Tiie Keith Pollock family attended at-tended the funetral of their grandmother, Mary Ann Bowler, at Enterprise Saturday. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Noel Williams were Mr. and Mrs. Faye Parker of Pan-guitch Pan-guitch and Douglas Williams of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Malm and children of Salt Lake City were week end visitors with Mrs. Malm's father, Earl S.nlth. Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Williams have returned home after visiting visit-ing for several days in California with relatives. |
