Show Utah Savings Bond Sales Show Increase Total sales of U. S. Savings Bonds in Utah for the first four months of the bond program's 20th anniversary year reached $6,747,949, it was announced today to-day by Francis W. Betenson, manager, First Security Bank at Cedar City and Iron County Bonds chairman. Utah sales during the month of April were $1,493,134, he continued, con-tinued, noting that Iron County's purchases accounted for $4,541, bringing the county's 4-month total to $38,490, or 428 percent of its 1961 goal. "While we are observing the savings bonds program's 20th birthday throughout the year," the chairman pointed out, "we are paying special tribute during May to newspapers, radio, tele-vision tele-vision and the advertising and entertainment industries ,for the great contribution they have made to the success of the program pro-gram during the past twenty years." |
