Show Redmen Defeat North Sevier InSemi-Finals Two walks, two errors and a bases loaded triple by Mike Carter Car-ter pushed in four runs for the Cedar City High School Redmen baseball crew in the first inning of play to set the pace for their 12 to 2 win over North Sevier High in the State Class B semi-final semi-final play-off slated at Salina Friday afternoon. Glen Pryor, first man to bat in the game, walked, Kent Smith got on on an error and Steve Cahoon walked to load the bases with only one out. Carter tripled to drive in three runs and the second hit of the frame by Kenneth Ken-neth Cox scored Carter to begin the routs of the Nuth Sevier crew. The fine mound work of Steve Cahoon contributed to the victory, as he allowed only two hits in the contest, collected 12 strikeouts strike-outs and walked only three. Two runs by North Sevier were unearned , In the second inning, Shaw lived on an error, stoe second base, moved to third cn an error and scored without benefit ben-efit of a hit. In the sixth, Sor-enson Sor-enson got hit by a pitched ball and was credited with stealing second, third and home for he only other run for Salina. Cedar Redmen continued the scoring pace in the second inning in-ning of play as Steve Judd singled sin-gled followed by a tremendous home run by Neil Roberts, reported report-ed as one of the longest balls hit in the North Sevier park. The Redmen's big inning, however, how-ever, came in the fifth with five runs on only two hits, a single by Cox and a double by Dennis Slack. The final tally was picked up in the sixth with one run on two hits.
