OCR Text	Show George M. Shields, 80, Father of Cedar Woman Dies George Meiklejohn Shields, 80, father of Mrs. Howard (Orma) Wood of Cedar City, died in Kanab Ka-nab Sunday. He was a former Utah school teacher and ranger for the National Park Service. Mr. Shields taught music and industrial arts in Kanab and Panguitch high schools before taking a position of ranger for the National Park Service. He had worked at Grand Canyon for many years. II knrn In Tnnoln ITtah on May 27, 1880, son of John C. and Jane Meiklejohn Shields. He married Claia McAllister in 1912, in the Salt Lake LDS .Temple. They moved to Kanab in 1913. Surviving are his widow, Kanab; Ka-nab; Mrs. Howard (Orma) Wood, Cedar City, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted conduc-ted Tuesday in Kanab and burial was in the Kanab cemetery.
