CSU Staff Member Will Offer Choral Conducting Class A class in the fundamentals of choral conducting will be offered at the College of Southern Utah summer session, it was announced an-nounced this week by Pr. Blaine Johnson of the music department. A two weeks workshop at 10 a. m. daily will be organized toward aiding anyone called on to conduct community singing, organizing1 and conducting choral cho-ral groups, and in the selection of choral materials. Fundamentals Fundamen-tals of conducting patterns will also be stressed. A course in music appreciation carrying upper division credit will be offered in the first two-week two-week session of the summer school, beginning June 12th and extending to June 23rd. Assistance toward certification renewals and for the gathering of class room ideas will be available avail-able in the course in elementary school music methods. This will be a workshop course running for two hours daily from 1 to 3 p. m., beginning June 20 and ending July 7, Dr. Johnson stated.
