Show PARAGONAH NEWS NOTES I Mrs. Hllma Lamoreaux Mrs. Emma Dalton and Miss Helen Stones directed the "End of School" program for the first to fifth grade students Friday evening. A large group of parents par-ents and friends came to see the young people perform. A fine program pro-gram of singing and dancing was presented. Mrs. Melva Barton Bar-ton was accompanist. Boyd Robinson, Mrs. Miriam Anderson and Lsmarr Anderson traveled to Kanab Saturday. Mrs. Anderson visited with the family of her son Jimmy. The Daughters of the Pioneers held their meeting and a closing social last Thursday at the home of Mrs. Myrtle Abbott. Following an interesting lesson and history, games and refreshments were enjoyed. A number of Paragonah people peo-ple traveled to Kanab last Thursday Thurs-day to attend funeral services for Doin Boardman. Among them were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Boardman, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Boardman, Mr. and Mrs. H. Revere Robinson, Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Robinson, Mrs. Alice Robinson, Mrs. Belle Edwards Ed-wards and Mrs. Myrt.'e Abbott. They were accompanied by Mrs. Dora Wade, Mrs. Ramola Fret-well Fret-well and Miss Betsy Ann Fret-well Fret-well of Cedar City. A group of relatives were In Panguitch Thursday to attend funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Eliza Dodds Owens, 64, who was killed in an automobile accident. acci-dent. Making the trip were Mrs. Gwen Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Mar-ion Englestead, Mrs. Iras Jones and Mrs. Eva Bell. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Smith and two small sons of beaver were fere Monday to visit with Mrs. Ir.- Jones. Bishop and Mrs. James II. Anderson An-derson enjoyed visits Sunday from family members from Beaver, Bea-ver, including Mrs. Miriam Limb and three daughters and Jim and Yvonne Low. Miss Janet Hunt accompanied a group of Seminary students and their Instructor to Salt Lake City for an outing. Mrs. Verna Lawrence was here from Cedar City one day last week for a visit with her grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. Catherine Dunton. Mrs. Thurman Higbee of Cedar Ce-dar City and Mrs. Getta Orton of Parowan were visitors at the Iras Jones home one day last week. Barton Prothero Is home again following a business trip to California. Cal-ifornia. Mrs. Zoella Benson of Cedar City was a recent visitor at the T. W. Robb home. She came to discuss her prospective trip to Wales. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Abbott and three youngsters were here from Murray for a week end visit with Tom's mother, Mrs. Myrtle Abbott. Ab-bott. Darrell Ashton of Provo, who is currently employed in Cedar City, has been a visitor at the home of his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Robinson. Miss Joy Robinson was home from Cedar City for the week end with K. Doyle Robinsons. Little Miss De Ann Mathcson accompanied accom-panied her for a visit with her grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Arch Lamoreaux were in town from Wednesday to Friday of last week, visiting at the Chester Robinson home. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Edwards field, Idaho, spent Monday here Saturday fo a visit with the Chester Robinsons. Miss Mildred Robinson of Fairfield, Fair-field, Idaho spent Monday here with the Doyle Robinson family. Because of Memorial Day coming com-ing on Tuesday Primary and M. I. A. meetings will be held on ' Monday, May 29. Tuesday, May 30th, the Ward, Building Committee will sponsor a fund raising project in the form of a big dinner to be served in the basement of the church. |
