Show Special Rail Tour Opens Season for utan rarKS company On Tuesday, May 30, 230 mem-bers mem-bers of the Golden Railfans will arrive in Cedar City to begin a one-day tour of Zion National Park, tne first tour of the season under the Utah Parks Company summer program. The group will arrive In Cedar City by special train at 7:30 a. m. Tuesday, and will leave by bus for Zion National Fark. After a short stop at the new visitors center at the park, the group will travel through the Zion-Mt. Carmel tunnel to the East Entrance En-trance of the park, before re turning to the lodge for a special spec-ial luncheon. A tour of the park proper to the Temple of Siniwava will follow fol-low luncheon, after which the group will return to Cedar City to board the train er.route to Las Vegas. The Railfans organization organ-ization makes an annual tour and selected a tour through Colorado, Utah and Nevada for the 1961 excursion. The regular tour season of Utah Parks Company will get underway on June 12, and a number of special tours have been scheduled throughout the summer season. |
