Show OPEN HOUSE HELD FOR PATRICIA PALMER Mr. and Mrs. Scott Urie feted Miss Patricia Palmer at an open house on Wednesday evening prior to her marriage on Thursday, Thurs-day, June 5, to Robert William Squire of St. George. Miss Palmer, Pal-mer, daughter of Mr. and I. Us. William I. Palmer of Washington, Washing-ton, D. C, is a niece of Mrs. Urie. The guests were greeted in the lovely Urie home and later served serv-ed on the patio where they garden gar-den was especially radiant. The bride, who has been attending Utah State University majoring in music, favored those calling during the evening with several beautiful vocal and piano selections. selec-tions. Attending from out of town were parents of the bride, Mr and Mrs. William Squire, bridegroom's bride-groom's parents, and brother a nd sister-in-law of the bride. A patio supper followed by croquet was the evening planned plan-ned by Mrs. Keith Averett tor members of her club and guests Mrs. Jay Richardson and Mrs. John Pugh. The ladies found the evening both relaxing and enjoyable. en-joyable. Those carrying away the honors for the lawn game were Mrs. Ned Sullivan, Mrs. Harold Hansen and Mrs. Pugh. A vacation in the great outdoors out-doors amid the splendors of nature na-ture was enjoyed last week by Mr. and Mrs. Dan Crawford and family, Mrs. Crawford's mother, Mrs. Laverna Hyatt of Richfield, and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Atkins and children. Arches National Monument, Bridges National Monument and Mesa Verde National Na-tional Monument were on the trip agenda. The group report the Colorado mountains especially beautiful this year and the trip one that they found extremely outstanding. The En Avante club members were entertained Tuesday evening eve-ning by Mrs. Reed Bradshaw. Guests for the evening were Mrs. E. W. Southwlck, Mrs. Myrtle Chrlstensen, and Mrs. Stanley Bradshaw. Mrs. Hunter Nelson and Mrs. Bill Dover showed hltdes and souvenirs of their travels tra-vels to Puerto Rico. The ladies presented both the political and social aspects of the country which they found so interesting. Both Mrs. Nelson and Mrs. Dover Dov-er wore hand embroidered dresses dress-es which they brought home with them from their travels. Light refreshments re-freshments were enjoyed. |
