Show Cedar City Social Swing Vacations dreamed of during the cold winter months have been realized by many of the local residents. Jut upturned from Southern California is Miss Alice Ahlstrom, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ahlstrom. As a guest of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Mastros, she enjoyed two weeks sightseeing and enjoying the activities ac-tivities planned by her hosts. San Francisco and San Mateo, California were the destinations for the V. R. Magleby family as they left Cedar City on a ten day vacation trip. Enjoying the trip through Utah, Idaho and up the CoinmhU Rlvor to Portland. Oregon Ore-gon and Vancouver, Washington' was Miss Jackie Barrick. Taking the coastal highway the family arrived in San Mateo at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Loy Kilo, sister of Mrs. Magleby, for a few days' visit. A short time was also spent with another sister, Mrs. E. L. Parker In San Francisco, before be-fore the return trip home. From far off Japan came Mr. and Mrs. Mont Rosenberg and their three children for a week's stay in Cedar City. Members of Mrs. Rosenberg's family feted the travelers during their stay. Along with their other activities fishing was found to be most pleasant. Mr. Rosenberg's governmental gov-ernmental duties will next take him to Mexico. Reglna, Canada and other Canadian vacation spots were on the travel agenda for the Arnold Haider family as they left Cedar City on May 25. The family especially enjoyed their visit to Regina, which is the birthplace of Mr. Haider. They later traveled travel-ed to St. Paul, Minnesota where they were guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Haider, parents of Mr. Haider. Also Included on their agenda were stopovers in Yellowstone Yel-lowstone Park and at Vernal, Utah, where they visited with family members. The family found the mountain home at Navajo very beautiful and the time spent there most enjoyable. Following a five day visit they returned to their home in Arcadia, California. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hanzon recently returned form Ranglcy, Colorado, where they enjoyed visiting with their son and family, fam-ily, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hanzon. |
