Show Miss Caroline Leigh Succumbs to Stroke Miss Caroline (Carrie) Leigh, 68, died Wednesday after suffering suffer-ing a stroke. She was stricken about a month ago, but was improving im-proving until another attack on Wednesday which caused her death. Funeral services will be held In the Cedar Third-Fourth Ward chapel at 2 p. m. Friday. Friends may call at the Southern Utah Mortuary from 7 to 9 this evening, eve-ning, Thursday, and from noon until time for services Friday. .Burial will be In the Cedar City cemetery. I Miss Leigh was born in Cedar , City on May 1, 1890, a daughter of Samuel T. and Mary Ann Hunter Hun-ter Leigh, and had made her ! home there throughout her life. Sha taught school for a number num-ber of years, and has been active ac-tive in civic affairs of the community, com-munity, working through the Cedar Ce-dar City Business and Professional Profession-al Women's Club, and the Cedar City Fine Arts Guild. She is survived by one brother, broth-er, George Leigh of Mesa, Ariz., who arrived in Cedar City with his wife, prior to his sister's death, and two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Ar-thur (Ina) Gardner, and Mr.--. Dean (Cortella) Cutler, both of Cedar City. |
